Items for Sale No. 3

Vapour Cooling Tube with 6mm Coil.

Yet another item specially made for someone that wanted extra vapour cooling that did not come back and pay for it.    You would think I would learn wouldn’t you??
This is a double helix copper coil. It was made to fit into the 54mm coupler, so it will not fit into the 54mm tube. The couplers ( 3 ) are soldered together to form the tube. There is a piece of 54mm tube soldered to the bottom of the third coupler so that it will fit into another coupler,i.e. Dividing Tray.
The coil it’s self is soldered into the Cap with an Umbrella at the base to collect the vapour drips and guide them into the Dividing Tray. The Cap also has a piece of 54mm tube soldered to it so that it fits into the top coupler of the tube. I have supplied and fitted two rubbers one top and one bottom to form a loose seal for the Cap to tube seal and the tube to Dividing Tray. All you have got to do is slip the Vapour cooling tube into position and roll down the rubbers and you are all set. This item will also be listed on eBay and www.distillingdominoes.co.uk web site where it will cheaper.

Overall Length 34cm and weighs in at just over 1Kg.

11Lt Stainless Steel Pot with Copper Still.

This is a complete ready to make moonshine still.  All that’s needed is a heat source to make some good old moonshine.  You will need to run one or two cleaning runs to ensure all the production oils and swarf have been removed as with any new product that you are going to consume from. This is suitable for use on most domestic and BBQ stoves. I do not  advise it’s use on Induction Heated equipment.  Apart from that most anything goes.  These are not high end stainless pots they are run of the mill pots hence the low price of the finished article. But they work well.  The lids are secured with stainless steel spring clips and a plastic seal around the top. This seal can be remove and the traditional flour paste seal used so everything is as authentic as possible.  The clip retainer can be eased up or down slightly with a pair of pliers to increase or decrease the tension on the lid.  The Liebig is a 28mm external tube with a 15mm internal product tube, this in turn leads to a 10mm tube for the product out into your receptacle. This tee is a balancing tee as well  as being practicable, you can position the outlet arm to be in the most convenient place ,ie as far as possible from the heat source. Do not undo the bottom nut. ALWAYS USE TWO SPANNERS TO TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE COMPRESSION NUTS.  The water hose connections. Heat or warm the hose if you are using normal garden, put the end in some very hot water for a few  minutes then gently push it over the the copper pipe it may take a couple of attempts and secure with a hose clip of your preference. A cloth or gloves may be useful.   Not much else I can say.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask via the website.   Please see the photos.

54mm Stainless Steel to Copper Tri Clamp

I have just two of these at the moment. They are both 2 inch or rather 54mm copper pipe size as this seems to be the favourite amongst us stiller’s. I have made these two as more of a way to extend your existing 54mm column than to mount on a beer keg but where there is a will there is a way we are quite an inventive lot.  I am selling these as a pair unlike the American ones that just come in ones. You will receive one clamp one gasket and two flanges. The flanges will have the copper pipe and coupler or the  copper coupler soldered in place.  The one that has the downward column inserted into the coupler will only need a rubber external seal as all the liquid will run back into the coupler and back into the boiler, this may also work with the upward connection as well if you can get a nice tight seal. Trial and error.  I think in the future I will solder the pipe to the flange / ferrule and then the coupler to the pipe as this seems to be a better way of doing it.  The other thing I will do is to make it so you can have to other half of the clamping ferrule free to attach to a beer keg should you wish to do so. I have take a few photos for your perusal. Cost wise it is all much of a muchness Stainless is expensive Copper is expensive my time is very very expensive ( I wish )  the postage takes the shine right off.  Moan Moan.  If you have a look on eBay at these things they all seem to be in the US and  are all around the £50.00 mark because of the P&P.  I cannot compete with there base costs but I think overall we are somewhere near, as I like you can’t work for nothing.  BUT they are here in the UK just a few days away not a fortnight way.

I will put these on eBay but they will be 12% more expensive and I will also mention the fact they are cheaper on this website.

Copper Funnels.

These are Hand Crafted Copper Funnels.  I made one for a customer and thought I would make a couple more. They are list on eBay as well as here. The 10cm one has a cone diameter of 10cm hence the name the cone depth is 10.5cm and the spout 8cm long.            The 13cm one has a 13cm cone diameter and a depth of 11cm and the spout is 12cm in length.

If you would like a copper Funnel of a specific size please contact me and we will see if we do  business.
