54mm Stainless Steel to Copper Tri Clamp

54mm Stainless Steel to Copper Tri Clamp

I have just two of these at the moment. They are both 2 inch or rather 54mm copper pipe size as this seems to be the favourite amongst us stiller’s. I have made these two as more of a way to extend your existing 54mm column than to mount on a beer keg but where there is a will there is a way we are quite an inventive lot.  I am selling these as a pair unlike the American ones that just come in ones. You will receive one clamp one gasket and two flanges. The flanges will have the copper pipe and coupler or the  copper coupler soldered in place.  The one that has the downward column inserted into the coupler will only need a rubber external seal as all the liquid will run back into the coupler and back into the boiler, this may also work with the upward connection as well if you can get a nice tight seal. Trial and error.  I think in the future I will solder the pipe to the flange / ferrule and then the coupler to the pipe as this seems to be a better way of doing it.  The other thing I will do is to make it so you can have to other half of the clamping ferrule free to attach to a beer keg should you wish to do so. I have take a few photos for your perusal. Cost wise it is all much of a muchness Stainless is expensive Copper is expensive my time is very very expensive ( I wish )  the postage takes the shine right off.  Moan Moan.  If you have a look on eBay at these things they all seem to be in the US and  are all around the £50.00 mark because of the P&P.  I cannot compete with there base costs but I think overall we are somewhere near, as  like you I can’t work for nothing.  BUT they are here in the UK just a few days away not a fortnight way.

I will put these on eBay but they will be 12% more expensive and I will also mention the fact they are cheaper on this website. Don’t forget www.whiskeymansblog.co.uk
